#LoveNature Festival – From Plot to Plate
20 May 2017, 11:00 am–4:00 pm
The Jersey Association of the National Vegetable Society will be holding an open day at the home of Graeme & Joy Le Marquand at Les Haies de Grosnez, Grosnez St Ouen. Entry is free with teas, coffee and cake served throughout the day. Enjoy a walk around the raised vegetable beds, fruit cages poly tunnel and herb garden which was constructed from recycled, materials.
Ruth Heywood (ex Samares manor) will be on hand in the herb garden to advise and answer questions, Nora Treanor (formerly the entomologist from the Agriculture Department at Howard Davis Farm) will be available to answer questions and advise on pests and disease, Glynn Mitchel will be demonstrating various compost techniques. Rosemary Vibert will be demonstrating the full use and growing techniques of the goodness gang seeds. This is a must for children and grownups. Melissa Nobrega (caring cooks of Jersey) will be demonstrating the cooking techniques that are being offered at our schools.
And finally members of our society will be on hand to answer all questions related to growing and showing.

Parking: Parking will be available on les Landes common which is adjacent to the race course, and for those with disabilities parking will be available at the house, which will be signposted.
