A Walk Back in History
August 20, 1:30 pm–4:00 pmFree - £10.00
This walk starts by the St Brelade church slip way, with a quick look in the church graveyard. Your guide Nicky Mansell will bring to life the people who lived here during the occupation and earlier. As you stroll across the bay, Nicky will talk about the fishermen who left in the spring for the cod banks off Canada in the 16th century and will ‘walk’ right back to prehistoric times when inhabitants could have walked to France and mammoth roamed where the sea is now. The walk is mainly easy but at the end does involve some scrambling over the rocky foreshore to the bottom of the ravine where the Neanderthals lived for those who want to scramble! 2-3 hours long
