July 17, 10:00 am–4:00 pm
Friday 17 July
Join the Journeaux family and their servants for an atmospheric theatrical tour of The Georgian House.
The Plot – There’s been an outbreak of Smallpox in St Helier and the Gorgeous Georgians have been cooped up indoors for months. The children have been sent to the countryside, leaving Mary the scullery maid with the task of ‘deep cleaning’ their bedrooms. Mr and Mrs Journeaux are getting on each other’s nerves as all of their social events have either been cancelled or postponed. And Louisa the cook is trying to concoct something interesting for lunch, using the limited ingredients that are available in her store cupboard.
Sounds familiar? Why not join the Gorgeous Georgians for a private tour of 16 New Street.
