Lino Cutting Workshop with Kerry-Jane Warner
June 26, 10:00 am–3:00 pm£45.00
The day will begin with a demonstration of basic lino cutting techniques.
You will be given a practice block to try out the tools before you set to work on your finished piece. We will spend some time drawing inspiration in the walled garden or from images provided. Then you will be shown how to transfer your image to the block. Later in the day you will be shown how to ink up your block and how to burnish prints by hand and apply colour using the chine collé method. Along with your finished piece, you will take home clear instructions, information and the tools to continue your printmaking adventure.
The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience.
