Six of One, Half Dozen of Other – St Clement Trail
June 5, 9:00 am–11:30 amFree
From St. Clements Parish Hall, we will head east in this, the smallest, Parish of Jersey. Leaving the main roads to traverse the lesser known footpaths, we discover two simple but beautiful examples of Jersey cottages, dating from the 1830s. We catch a glimpse of how Islanders once lived, with a tour past the often-overlooked parish pump in Rue de Causie, and other Jersey National Trust gems. We continue through the wonderful rural aspects of St Clement and at the top of the St Clements Trail, we will catch our breath and enjoy the panoramic view, including Icho Tower, Seymour Tower, the entirety of the RAMSAR wetlands site and the ancient Grouville windmill.
