Six of One, Half Dozen of Other – Trinity Walk
July 7, 10:00 am–12:30 pmFree
Commencing at Jardin d’Olivet, we amble through the woodland, taking in a well-head , on our way to one of the Trust’s oldest domestic properties, Sous Les Bois (Under the Wood). Half way up a fairly steep hill we can pause to view an inconveniently placed lavoir, dating from 1834 and spare a thought for the poor tenants of Le Fief de l’Abbesse de Caen who would have struggled to haul their laundry to this public washing place. Emerging onto La Falaize we are rewarded with spectacular coastal views across the Ecrehous and beyond to Normandy.
Kindly supported by Jersey Water.
