The People of St Brelade’s Bay from Neanderthal to Today
July 3, 1:00 pm–3:00 pmFree
This walk starts on the slipway by St Brelades Church. Join your guide, Nicky Mansell who will bring to life the people who lived in the bay during the occupation and the fishermen who left for the cod banks off Canada. Nicky will take participants back to prehistoric times when you could have walked to France and mammoth roamed where the sea is now. The walk is easy but does involve some scrambling over the rocky foreshore to the bottom of the ravine where the Neanderthals once lived for the more adventurous.
Meet 1.00pm – St Brelades Church slipway
