Jump in this July and swim in 30 stunning Jersey bays in 30 days. Our group opening swim will take place on Sunday 30th June at 9.30am ready to swim at 10.00. Join the group swim at the start of the month then decide where and when to swim, joining the final group swim at the end of the month. Embrace the community spirit as you participate in the ancient art of making Black Butter – peeling apples from 2 to 5pm at The Elms. Enjoy a cup of tea, a piece of a cake and a Jersey Wonder while you work!Find out more »
Peeling will start again at 10 am until late! Stirring of the apples and other ingredients will commence mid-morning in the Bake-House over the large ‘bachin’ (copper basin) over a roaring fire which will be lit in the early hours of Friday morning and will continue all night until Saturday lunch-time. Volunteers are invited to peel, stir or contribute to the community supper which will take place on Friday evening with live music.Find out more »
