Join us for a hands-on morning learning the art of apple grafting with Vincent Obbard, set among the beautiful gardens of Samarès Manor
Saturday 28th February 2026, 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
We begin at 9:30 a.m. with a warm welcome and coffee/tea before heading out for a guided walk around the apple trees in the herb garden and vegetable garden.
Vincent will demonstrate his pruning techniques, and everyone will have the chance to try pruning for themselves.
Grafting by the Fire
Afterwards, we return to the cosy hall by the fire, where each participant will receive:
- an apple rootstock
- a scion (apple cutting)
Vincent will guide you step-by-step through the grafting process - showing how to make a clean join so your cutting will successfully fuse with its rootstock.
Take Home Your Own Apple Tree! You’ll leave with your grafted tree and the knowledge to continue grafting at home.
Event ends around 1:00 p.m.
£25 for members, £30 for non-members
